About Us
The Institute for Family Business is a unique cooperative between a great group of concerned community members, the Craig School of Business , and support from the Greater Area Chamber of Commerce. We focus our membership on family businesses but also recommend involvement from organizations that support family businesses, as they need to understand the unique issues families face in business.

We offer:
  • Education through guest speakers, industry professionals and the family members themselves at seminars, affinity meetings (select family members), our library and other resources to which we have access.
  • Inspiration and networking with other family business that have dealt with the same issues that other family businesses do.
  • Opportunities to give back to the community both through financial support and network support with the other members. Member’s advice and suggestion of where to get assistance is extremely valuable. This contribution is many times not quantifiable but yet invaluable in helping a family business in crisis and avoiding a crisis.

Our goal is to see family businesses succeed and remain successful for many years to come.
